Poor #publictransit in Pakistan is intentional aid to auto industry
The Express Tribune: "These incentives are likely to persuade foreign manufacturers to establish a footprint in Pakistan, where a sizeable demand exists, helped by low oil prices, availability of cheap financing and lack of an efficient public transport system. "

I don't feel that this is unique to Pakistan. I feel like the United States engages in this as well and is only becoming more corrupt about it.
